In a world first, Australian skincare company uses snake venom technology to develop Protect & Resurrect; a revolutionary tattoo care cream to prevent tattoos from fading, and help resurrect old tattoos!
Snakes and Snipers, a Sydney based company, has developed a tattoo care cream containing the extra bite of a peptide, as found in the venom of the Southeast Asian Temple Viper, to protect new tattoos and resurrect and revitalise older tattoos.
The ground-breaking product combines the peptide with natural Australian ingredients like Macadamia Nut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Green Tea Extract, a Deep Sea Marine Extract to revolutionise tattoo care, taking it from the pharmacy to a must-have skin care regime.
Tattoos are a work of art, and a good tattoo is for life, but as skin changes, so can the appearance of tattoos. Exposure to sunlight, ageing, wrinkles and other factors, over time can all have an effect on the clarity and colour of tattoos. The team at Snakes and Snipers has developed Protect & Resurrect; a gentle lotion specially designed for people with tattooed skin.
Protect & Resurrect is 100% created and made in Australia. The Snakes & Snipers team is passionate about supporting the local community, and creating sustainable and environmentally conscious body care.
Creators Alan Buki and Stevie Corthine are friends with a background and interest in natural products and innovation. Alan co-created the now iconic and internationally acclaimed hair care line Original and Mineral. When asked about the creation of Protect & Resurrect, Alan talks about conversations with clients, models and supermodels, whose hair he has styled for some of the world’s most revered catwalks and magazines.
“Models and clients were often frustrated with the fading of their tattoos and asked why they were able to protect and maintain their hair, but there was nothing available to do the same with their tattoos” says Alan, "Protect & Resurrect is a revolutionary product that will change the game for tattoo care and maintenance".
Stevie, one of Australia’s leading colourists and an acclaimed international hairdresser, is a lover of tattoos, having acquired many and varied tattoos over the past 20 years. Stevie’s body art all tell parts of his personal life story.
“Whenever I get a new tattoo,” says Stevie, “It becomes obvious how much my older tattoos have faded. Alan and I got together, determined to find a solution and after years of research and development, Protect & Resurrect was created."
"Tattoo wearers have been crying out for a product like this. We are really proud to launch this wonderful unique product, and are looking forward to launching our next innovation.”
